Transformative Times

It is like we have been suspended in the midst of ferocious summer fires in deep uncertainty.
What an intense summer we all have had in Australia!. I have felt suspended. There was so much agitation around me that I decided to step back from schedules and plans to really be in the moment of what is happening to our land, people and animals but especially  to look within. As I have learned in life that the external situations are nothing but a reflection of our internal state of being.

So reflecting deeply and feeling into fears and anxiety as conversations unfolded with people in the community, here in the Blue Mountains, I noticed this agitation inside prompting me to worry. -“If you don’t worry, you don’t really care” I heard from within. I have to accept, I have been a worrier all my life, this I understand in myself as the shadow of a highly sensitive and empathetic person, adding the fact that I am a woman, a nurturer.

Great mother earth is screaming for change, she is yearning deep within the core of her body. All this rage, anger and apathy from which we treat one another and all living beings may finally come to the light to be seen, and to begin a process of transformation. Yes, we have lost so many lives, but we also forget that she can regenerate as many times as she pleases without us. So even here we are forgetting and must remember her great powers as The life giver.

Fire is a very particular element which we can see but we cannot touch, it gives warmth, it nurtures, symbolizes maturity, urgency, speed, intensity and of course it is the masculine energy or yang, know in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Some emotions associated with fire are joy, drive, excitement, passion but also sadness, anger, fear & worry (my good friend).

My invitation through this article is to observe a deeper layer and perspective on our current situation as individuals and as a collective. How often we feel angry and rage towards people around us, life expectations, partner relationships? How often do we perpetuate a state of worry to the point that it paralyses our whole being into non action? How much fear driven information we allow to enter into our minds from the media? How much do we allow our self to feel sad without wanting to cover it up with a fake smile?

Stop and reflect for a moment…

Now, here is where it gets interesting & beautiful. So take a deep breath and let’s look at how does the fire element can return to natural balance. Ancient knowledge such as in TCM is believed that internal heat is balanced by defining clear objectives and acting accordingly. What becomes challenging is trying to understand the dominant emotion at any given moment and being able to accept it without pushing it away or projecting it toward others.

Expressing our emotions is a fundamental part of healing. Try and do activities that are not always a great effort, enjoy doing what you love such as walking, painting, singing, dancing, listening to music etc. Fire is liberated when we express ourselves with motivation in any art form, without looking for recognition, but simply for pleasure. This subtly activates our higher emotional center releasing all sorts of chemicals in the brain such as serotonin and bringing us into a resilient and coherent heart space.

Thank you for reading and again this is simply a perspective. I always honour and respect all the amazing humans protecting and nurturing the land with sustainable projects, empowering the people in their living environments. My job through the art of sound healing and sacred geometry it to empower the environment within.  So you may not agree or resonate with this approach and it is ok too. There are infinite ways in which we come to understand our reality and none is better than the other, it is only a process of learning to see.

In deep gratitude
Adriana
